#2: My first audience is my Mom. People say "Have an audience in mind" when you speak or communicate in mass. I think of my Mom each time I blog because she will want the most detail. The rest of readers can just skim past the excess of comments and pictures if you wish.
I just give that disclaimer to you.

We live far away, so this is the best way we've chosen to connect with our family and friends. Enjoy the pics!

September 5, 2011: Monday morning Malachi woke up and realized he was 2! Happy Birthday!

He had fun discovering the decorations--early riser! I think he was excited about his party (and so was Mama!)

Is my boy really 2 years old already!? Thank you, God, for this blessing--our son!

Luke was awake for the opening of Grandma's present. It was good Elijah was still sleeping so Malachi could enjoy it in his own time (no sharing yet, and no grabbing, though we love Elijah!).

First thing in the package, a new outfit!! I LOVE your choice, Mom! Wow, this yellow is so cheery. It fits perfectly and was so fun to have a new outfit for the birthday!

Swinging and playing outside.

Precious kiss from Malachi to Luke. I think Malachi was glad to share his present with at least one brother, especially since Luke didn't interfere with the process much.

Great toy, Mom! Wow, this is just a favorite. After the birthday party someone said this was the "best toy!" I agree. Malachi keeps practicing and enjoying the "Slides" for the balls.

The party from 9-11 began with Malachi as host. He took off the shoes of his little friend, Katie!

Me and Malachi (Mom also notice the yellow truck--which he would not let go of!).

Papa and Malachi. It was nice Nate had a break from classes so he could join in the fun of the party!

AFter the kids found their shoes we had a group picture. I had to plan this into the party, because I remembered on Elijah's first birthday how hard it was to get a group pic spontaneously! (kids moving all over the place!)

My friend, Louise, took pictures for me also. I had to put this one on! It could be a hallmark card!!! Frame-able!!

I love this one of Malachi!! Pin the foot on the shoe.

Now it is time to go outside and play "musical footprints!" If you stop on Malachi's picture, you get a chocolate kiss!

Another precious moment captured by Louise!

Inside we had a story and a song from Isaiah 2.3 "He will teach us his ways so that we may walk in his paths." I wrote a song just for the party, with actions. The kids did a great job!

Nate helped me teach the actions.

Time for the cake. I like how this shows our family of 5. Luke didn't want to nap--I think he knew there was a party going on, and he didn't want to miss it!

Blowing out the candles--2 brothers! Elijah just loves to participate with Malachi! How kind Malachi will share his candles.

Malachi thought he would try the frosting right away! A classic 2-year-old birthday moment.

The baby hang-out! These little friends had fun together too! Haha!

Classic cake-pose. Yum!

A rare photo-moment--all my friends and no kids! If you are a mom of young kids, you will know what I mean! Praise God for such wonderful friends!

Sojo peeking out the window of our little fort. Birthday celebrant!

I guess I got pictured-out after the party. Malachi just napped in the afternoon and then we opened presents Filipino-style, which means not at the party but later on our own at home. It was nice to enjoy the presents one at a time, with Malachi playing with each one in between.

We praise you, Lord, for Malachi Tyndale, and for his 2 years. Thank you for a special day with our special friends. Thank you for this little boy. May he learn to know Jesus at an early age and follow you all his days!
