Here's Elijah's Kindergarten class (just the boys) with their teacher. I love how Elijah has his hat over his eyes. What a fun guy!
Sorry this post is so delayed. I tried 4 or 5 different times to upload the pics but had some frozen internet problems. Hope this works today!
Here is the dunk tank. Notice Elijah is hitting the target square on while his Papa sits in the dunk chair! Ah! Got him!
Down goes Papa. Good shot, Elijah!
Through the money raised from the carnival, our school was able to send relief funds through a local church to the victims of Typhoon Haiyan. We also collected canned goods and foods that were sent in a truck to those who lived through the disaster. Continue to pray for our country as many people rebuild their lives and go on without the ones who were lost.
Malachi gets a turn. Good shot, M!
Mama and Papa compete for the fastest boat race. Elijah and Malachi cheer us on! Hey! Mama got first place!
Papa and Elijah pose in the fun photo booth.
Here is Luke playing with the thanksgiving plates Aunt Sarah sent us! Fun! Since we have missed 9 American thanksgivings, and while I studied in Canada I missed 4, this holiday has become much smaller for me (no turkey, no pies, no football games). Yet we are thankful for so many things, especially for the Bible in our language, our family and friends, and for salvation in Jesus!
Last week Elijah's class led the chapel. It was precious to hear and see them singing and worshiping Jesus. If you want to see a video, check my Facebook page. May they follow you all their days, Lord!
They did a drama from Max Lucado's book "You are Special." Cormac was Punchinello with all the dots. They did a great job acting out this story! May the message stick in their hearts.

Chapel and Soccer
Elijah has been loving soccer after school on Wednesdays and Fridays. He is such an active guy and puts all his energy into it. I love this action shot! My boy is growing up!
I love this action shot with Elijah and one of his best friends, Sojo. Thank you, Lord, for friends and fun!
I love my little doll Emily too! This little blue dress really brings out her eyes. What a thoughtful girl!
Elijah's class led the chapel this week. He was Noah! I pray that he will also follow the Lord in faith, as Noah in the Bible did.
It blessed my heart to see Elijah praising the Lord with his friends. "Hallelujah, your love makes me sing!"
Here is the Kindergarten class leading worship. Praise the Lord!

On A Walk.....& Oatmeal Chapel
I decided to take some pictures for you of typical sights I see on a walk with the boys. Here are all 3 in one stroller! Easy! Thanks again, Mom and Dad, for the Phil and Ted's! A winner!
Here is a creative use of recycled cup of noodles. There are some creative ways to find pots for planting around here.
This is the most resourceful person of them all. A family has built a house next to the trash bins, using items that were discarded. This is very inventive! I'm inspired.
My favorite part is on the side there, they actually have blinds in a window. It is amazing how Filipinos can find a use for almost everything.
Here is another typical sight, on many of the homes where you would normally find a door-bell, there is instead "Jesus and Mary" with "halos" around them. The Catholic influence is seen in many ways.
We find cows, goats and water buffalo in just a short walk from our house. Malachi thinks the baby goat is so cute!
My view from the back...three boys' heads--a trio! Oh, did I mention there's no sidewalks? We just walk in the streets.
The students had an oatmeal-eating contest as an intro to the message I shared about Malachi.
The Word of God is like our daily bread. Mr. Becker and I worked together in this chapel.
I shared from Jeremiah 13: "Hear and pay attention, for the Lord has spoken."
One last random picture from our week: the high school vocal students performed 5 songs at intermission during the play on Friday. Lovely voices blending!

The mountains and clouds in the background with the coconut trees in the foreground. It is pretty at this view coming around the curve. Our old townhouse is just two blocks that direction.
