One of the last things our family did with Daniel before he went back to the US was take a little weekend trip to Camiguin island! Elijah was delighted that it was his turn to go on an airplane, and he insisted on pulling his own suitcase everywhere we went.

The Becker Family, ready to board the plane.

Elijah was so fun to teach...after all that we had talked about and books we had read, it was finally time for him to experience it. Thankfully the flight was less than an hour.

Skipping ahead several hours, here we are waiting to take a small boat to the island. The ferry was broken, unbeknownst to us, so we just hired some random guys to take us there (see picture on the top of post).

Me and my brother! Thanks for this adventure, Daniel!

Skipping ahead to that evening--this is the place we stayed! Lovely, eh? This has to be one of the best kept secrets in the world (wouldn't you agree, Stephen and Joy?!).

Precious Father-Son moments in the ocean. Full of joy...

I love Elijah's smile--so genuine! Bliss, as my mom would say.

Brothers! I mean, these guys are happy (they are making fun of my picture taking, by the way!).

We are standing on white island, a sand dune in the middle of the water out at sea. We got there by boat--a lovely place to play! Look at the view of the volcanoes behind!

Me and my boys--I love this time with them.

The next day we hiked to a waterfall. Thirsty on the way, we stopped for coconut milk. Malachi is so innocent in this pic--going along for the ride. Little adventures!

We hiked to get to the waterfall---good job, Nate, going over that little bridge! We had a guide carry Elijah, and I just carried the umbrella and camera!

Here it is--Tuasan falls! Just amazing, pure nature, water so clean you can drink it.

The buff men! Nice, guys! I love you both!

Warm sunlight and cold springs. Malachi just loved this part of the trip. I think it was a favorite to all of us.

This place is beautiful. Well, Daniel, we say good-bye! It was an amazing month, and we will miss you tons! We already do! Thank you for coming; it was unforgettable!
