We woke up early again to try to beat the rain. Nate and I borrowed our friends' bikes and pedaled up the volcano again. Of course I had to walk part-way and it began to get hot, but we made it to one of the villages. I will tell you more about the village in an e-mail, so we will be brief in this summary. The main thing that happened after our time in the village was that the heavy rains began to pour! We rode several kilometers down a windy road (at least it was paved) and tried to find our way back home. I felt like a whole lake dumped on our heads! We were so thankful to get home and get dry, and especially for lunch and naps!
