Day #4-5--Brothers Biking

Meanwhile, while the sisters were on a dream holiday at a resort....

The brothers, Daniel and Nate, took Elijah on a 2 day bike ride around Samal island. They were all ready to go, ready for manly adventures.
They biked to the ferry and rode on with the cars.

Elijah loves his Uncle Daniel! He feels like one of the guys.

Here's our little man, still a little boy--nap time is still a must!
When I got these pics off Daniel's camera this one struck me first with captions like, "Oh, no, what happened to Elijah?" Nate going to investigate...he looks like he's in trouble, but he's just napping.

Some lovely ocean views, though rocky.
Meeting the locals...Elijah kind of stands out. Bike seats are not common, and it is not common to see white people biking past anyway, especially not with a 2-year old boy.

I laugh at the contrast between the ladies' lovely night on the resort king-sized bed in air conditioning...and this is the manly dwelling for the night!

The view out their window...

Are the bikes taking a snooze too? No, this is a photo to represent the big fall that Nate and Elijah took! When I got home, Elijah's face was all beat up. "What happened?!" Mama wanted to know. The road was too rocky and going down a hill, Nate's bike got stuck on a rock and they fell. I praised God when I saw Elijah's helmet and not his head smashed in! Nate's arms and hands were beat up too, but they are okay in general. I'm glad I wasn't there to see that. Thanks, God, for protecting them!

Taking a swim in the sea...the recovery and cool-down.

Daniel looks tough, so Elijah looks tough too. He wants to be like his Uncle (the diaper takes away a bit of the manliness!)

I like this one of Elijah and his Papa. These are Father-Son bonding moments!

Swimming in a new waterfall...(no comment--I wasn't there...it's strange posting pics when I wasn't there). Thanks to Daniel for the pics.
On the ferry ride back, Elijah is zonked out, exhausted.

My son looks like an abandoned homeless boy in this one! Now I find out what was happening all the while I was sipping mango shakes with my sister! Haha! Well, indeed, Nate and Daniel did a great job taking care of the little guy--I'm glad we're all back in one piece together again.

A truly great adventure! So glad nobody was seriously hurt. These manly men are so handsome even with all their rugged sweat & dirt. :-) Luffya, Mums
